Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how WiseCop ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the WiseCop mobile application and the wisecop.net website (together, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect the information you provide through our sign-in provider, such as your name and email address.
- Content you create. Reports, case files, notes, questions you ask, and photos you upload are stored so the app can provide its features to you.
- Subscription status. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details; we only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
- Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can send you notifications (for example, account-related alerts).
- Technical data. Basic technical information (such as device type and error logs) may be processed to keep the Service secure and working properly.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service: generating legal research answers, drafting reports, and organizing case files.
- To process the content you submit (including text and photos) with AI services in order to produce the results you request.
- To maintain your account, subscription access, and send Service-related notifications.
- To secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
3. AI Processing
WiseCop uses artificial intelligence to generate research answers, report drafts, and case analysis. The text and images you submit are transmitted to AI service providers for processing solely to deliver these features. Your content is not used to build advertising profiles.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the Service (such as cloud hosting, authentication, and AI processing providers), or when required by law.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Your content remains available in your account until you delete it or delete your account.
- You may delete individual reports, photos, and case files at any time within the app.
- You may request account deletion in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing admin@wisecop.net. Account deletion permanently removes your account and associated content.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using reasonable technical and organizational measures.
7. Your Responsibilities Regarding Case Content
WiseCop is a drafting and research aid. You are responsible for following your agency's policies regarding sensitive, confidential, or criminal justice information, including what information may be entered into third-party applications.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for use by working professionals and is not directed to children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
